Okay, when I got out of church, the Hawks were up by 15. The score was 65-50 in the middle of the third quarter. I know that's no huge story like Tiger Woods shooting 7 over par and missing the cut for the 6th time in his career. But the silver lining is not the Hawks are undefeated in game 7s at home, but the Bucks are gonna be so much better NEXT YEAR.
With all the uncertainty of where Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, LeBron James, Amare Stoudamire, and Carlos Boozer, the Bucks have all their key players under contract. Plus, Andrew Bogut will be back for the next season. And we still have not seen the best of Brandon Jennings which is a scary thought for the other 29 teams. The Bucks truly maxed their potential and the Hawks coasted in this series. In my honest opinion, on paper, this series should have been over in 5 games. The Hawks didn't take the young Bucks serious as they weren't truly respected two years ago in a 1 vs. 8 series against Boston. However, the Bucks were able to win an away game that these same Hawks were unable to do in the 2008 playoffs.
So, maybe the crowd in the Bradley Center were prophetic: We should fear the deer.
According to those around me, I have been dubbed a living Sportscenter. So...here are my thoughts on all things sports.

Favre Watch Again?!?!?
Okay, the NFL Draft has past and 25 teams are in minicamps. However, we are not talking about this upcoming rookie class with Sam Bradford, Ndamakong Suh, Gerald McCoy, Jimmy Clausen, and Tim Tebow. We are talking about the quarterback who was in college when these players were born. Brett Favor(hey that's his name was pronounced when he got drafted by the Falcons) is dominated the football talks for the upteenth offseason of the "Will He Return, Will He Not Return" drama that has more twists and turns than ALL the soap operas. So, I hear on ESPN from Ed Werder that if Brett wants to return for the 2010 season, he will have to have surgery on his ankle. Here it goes again: The latest episode of the "4 and His Football", the 2010 edition. All I got to say is this: If you are gonna play, get the surgery and no more press conference, texts from your agent, or tweets. I don't know if he is on Twitter, whatever. Because I am sick of it!!! I mean it!! I'm aggravated with Brett Favre and his indecisiveness like I'm going through the change. Will he make a decision and live with it because I am sick and tired of Favre Watch.
Huge Disappointment
Don't you remember when you younger and got some trouble, then asked your parents are they mad at you. But, your parents said they wasn't mad at you but they were disappointed in you. Somehow, we as adolescents could commprehend mad but not disappointment. Our frontal lobe was not fully developed to fathom this concept. Now, I understand why my mom would tell me she was disappointed in me(she didn't tell me that often because I was and still is a fantastical daughter. wink, wink.) because she had high expectations of me and I didn't live up to them.
Well, how many of y'all had high expectations in the Dallas Mavericks?? Well, I kind of did and so did my daddy. He had them going to the NBA Finals knocking out the Lake Show. Well, if this was March Madness, his bracket would be busted, kaput, finito. The Dallas Mavericks is a breathing disappointment. They have won 50 plus games for the last 11 seasons. There are only 3 other teams in NBA history that lay claim to such streaks: The 1959-71 Celtics, The Showtime Lakers, and the present-day San Antonio Spurs. The difference between these teams and the Mavericks is that they have multiple rings. The Mavericks have none unless you count wedding bands.
They are like the disappointment of the decade. This team wins and blows out people in the regular season and can't beat an undersized Golden State Warriors. Where is the mental toughness??? That's how San Antonio beat Dallas amd why I think they will be in the NBA Finals. Manu Ginobili broke his nose. Tony Parker hasn't been healthy all season and is coming off the bench. Tim Duncan is getting up in age and has not been putting up 20 pts. and 10 bounds every night. And the million dollar question is: Who is George Hill and why is he wide open hitting all the back-breaking threes???
Maybe the Mavs still need their frontal lobe completely developed. I know when my mom told me she was disappointed in me, my hearts sank to the bottom of my feet. "I'm so sorry, mom" could not mend the sitaution. The only way is rectify the situation is not repeat the same careless mistake I made. Redeem myself from the foolishness!!! Let my actions be a living manifestation of my thoughts. So I'm thinking, What do the Mavs think of themselves??? I know what I think of them: HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.

Who's Really #1???
Okay. It's been about a month into the college basketball season and strange has happened. North Carolina and Connecticut are unranked(who would have thunked it???). I cannot remember the last time when both UConn and UNC were both unramked. Also, almost every team that has been ranked #1 has lost the week they got the ranking(Kansas, Texas, Kentucky). So, who's really #1??? There are 4 teams with one loss. In my honest opinion, the #1 in the country is.... Villanova!!! They have been the best team that no one is talking about. They have best on their team whose named is not John Wall. Scottie Reynolds' game has that polish that can him a lottery pick. But 'Nova is not just Scottie Reynolds, Corey Fisher and Antoine Pena provides great scoring when teams decide to try to Scottie Reynolds a passer. They are undefeated in the toughest and deepest conference in the country. Their defense is very underrated which will make them a ver dangerous team in the tournament comes in March.
And they are experience with making tho the Final Four last year.
WHY NOT KANSAS: Kansas is one of the most balanced teams in the country. With Cole Aldrich on the inside and Sherron Collins on the ouside, they have perfected the hi-low game. They are so sound on defense and offense that it is hard not make them #1 in my book. They are also undefeated in their conference. But they lost to a Tennessee who played without 4 players. That random lost has got questions marks all over the top of my head as if I was in a cartoon. I will see Kansas is what we think they are in they play Texas.
WHY NOT KENTUCKY: Kentucky has the best freshman and player all rolled up in one John Wall. This team well-coached by John Calipari. You can say whatever you want about his level of integrity but he can coach and recruit. They have a balanced scorinng from Patrick Patterson, Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins and an additional to John Wall. But Losing South Carolina???? What the Bluegrass??? There are only two ways that South Carolina is going to March Madness: buying tickets or winning the conference tournament. That type of lost makes me wonder the level of focus this team has. It kind of gives me flashbacks to the John Calipari coached Memphis team that made to the national championship game and lost focus in the last minutes of regulation and in overtime. Could they be #1??? Maybe. But let's see them after they play Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
WHY NOT SYRACUSE: Oh the Orange. They are that team you don't want to play even if you were paid to. Ooh, let me stop talking about money before the NCAA put santions on my blog(lol). They just win in whatever fashion whether they run you out the gym or gring it out. Yhe just win. Well, there is nothing wrong to losing to #21 Pitt, but barely beating bottom dweller DePaul. The last time DePaul was good, they was in Conference USA in the 90s. That's two whole decades ago. It's 2010 if you don't already know. And Syracuse hasn't been the hunted team in the Big East since Carmelo Anthony, Hakim Warrick, and Gerry McNamara was students there. So, I wonder is this young Syracuse team can handle the heavy pressure knowing that losing that can a signature win on someone else's tournament resume
(i.e Louisville and UConn).
Well, I could wrong about this #1 team, but the AP and USA Today can't say they were more right than moi. X's and O's to you all!!!!
