Okay, all is now right with the world. It is September and college football is back. Although there was some stupidity by the part of LaGarrette Blount, I am so excited for college football and I just can't hide it. Yes, I know that was The Pointer Sisters, but they know what I'm feeling right now. There are so many storylines to follow. Will Florida repeat? Is the year Notre Dame puts it together and makes it back to a BCS game? How will USC fare out since they're starting a true freshman? Who will win the Heisman? What is happening with Michigan? Well I believe that I have the answers to these questions and so many more today.
WILL FLORIDA REPEAT?
The chances of the them repeating are very high. In terms of their schedule, it is slightly soft. The only teams they play that could their chances are LSU, Georgia, and the last home game of the season against Florida State. They don't play Auburn or Alabama so their chances to go to Pasadena are very high.
IS THE YEAR NOTRE DAME PUTS ITS TOGETHER?
The answer is maybe. Yes, maybe. the schedule is exactly murderer's row. But if, and I do mean if, they perform on the field, Charllie Weis should been thinking about updating his resume'. For Norte Dame has been relevant since they fired Ty Williangham and hired Charlie Weis. Charlie Weis has no more excuses on why they have been losing; these are his recruits that he wanted. He got the top rated quarterback in Jimmy Clausen and has shown his previous pettigree in being a groomer of quarterbacks. So, this IS the year that Notre Dame has to put it together.
HOW WILL USC FARE WITH A TRUE FRESHMAN?
They fare like USC always has fared since Pete Carroll been there. Matt Barkley may be a true freshman, but he benefits immensely from 10 reeturning starters on offense. They have that fantastic running game with Joe McKnight and the 15 running backs at USC. They have a couple games that might be trouble in Ohio State, Cal, Arizona and Oregon State who seems to get the best of them for the past couple of years. I believe in my heart of hearts the only thing that can prevent USC from making it to the National Title game is USC.
WHO WILL WIN THE HEISMAN?
The winner of the Heisman trophy is.... the quarterback of the team who is #1 in the BCS. That's who the winner. Okay, my answer is really vague but it's the truth. Sam Bradford won last year his was ranked #1 in one of these many polls that they have.
WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH MICHIGAN?
What is happening with Michigan is baffling me. It's real messy over there in Ann Arbor. The players is snitching on the coach, talking about he overworking us. Rich Rodriguez is crying at press conferences and stuff. But when you think about it, RichRod has always been kinda messy. Look at how he came to Michigan: full of mess. But I do know one thing: Winning is the best antidote and they better win this season opener against Western Michigan or it's going extra flithy messy. And if he don't win and these allegations are true, RichRod is going to crying for real.
Well, that's it... for now!!!
Love, Peace, and Pigskin for this weekend.
According to those around me, I have been dubbed a living Sportscenter. So...here are my thoughts on all things sports.

This Team Will Self-Destruct in...
I know football season in about 2 months and I am beaming at the thought of it. There are many stories that we are buzzing about. The return of Tom Brady and Shawne Merrriman has got everyone talking. However, there is one story that has constantly pondering: What's going to happen with the Romo-friendly Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones has called nthe release of Terrrell Owens a move that is "Romo friendly," but that move, in my opinion, is an absolute diaster. In the past 3 years, there has not been a more productive receiver in terms of touchdowns. But, I am full believer that move will cause the team to self implode by December which is the least Romo -friendly month. because what I don't get about the move is that you lose that production and then you don't find a way to replace that production. Regardless on what you personally think of Terrell personally, you cannot deny his production the last 3 years. by him just lining up on the outside, it creates huge hole in the middle for a slot receiver and tight end Jason Witten to have a favorable matchup against linebackers who are too slow and safeties who are too small to cover him. He also makes the strong safety out of the block then allows running lanes for whichever runningback that lines up in the backfield. And they rid of him because....I don't know. Maybe because of the economy, Jerry Jones made a "budget-friendly" move so he put the rest in Jerryland aka The Cowboys Stadium Either way, this team has no leadership and suspect defense which will have them last in the NFC East. So this team will self-destruct in less than 5 months. Let the countdown begin.

The Clay Conquers The USA..
It's French Open and the Americans get knocked before the quarterfinals. The last time an American man won at Roland Garros was Andre Agassi in 1999 (I was 13 yrs. old). Even Lisa Raymond who was playing mixed doubles couldn't get out the 2nd round. Maybe it's time for some clay courts to be built in the US of A. Not all courts are going to be hard courts and the Americans need to be versatile. They better get on the good side of the clay court. Well, at least Serena Williams is holding it down, that's a shame.
Brett Favre, Please Retire!!!!!
Okay, I have said to my family plenty of times that Brett Favre wouldn't retire until i was 40 (I'll be 23 on the 28th of June), but enough already!!!! Just stay retired!!! I am sick of the Favre watches and reporters camped out on his front yard. All of the constant breaking news alerts of the contact between Brad Childress, Bus Cook, and Brett Favre. Will he just retire and spend time with his wife who is cancer survivor? I mean, think about it. His kids are all grown up.He talked about in his 2nd retirement press conference that he was going to take the cross country trip with his family. So... Go and do it. No one should say he did not play hard. But your famly deserves your time. they have came in second to football for 20 years. In the end of the day, all the Super Bowls cannot replicate the unconditional love of family.

Can We Get LeBron Some Help????
Okay. Last night we were "witnesses" to greatness of LeBron James (Lebanon James if you saw the movie "Meet The Browns"). He put up 49 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. He was BALLIN'!!!! But what was everyone doing besides the 70 footer that Mo Williams hit? I mean Cleveland Cavaliers turned into the Cleveland LeBrons in the 2nd half. All the ball movement stopped and Orlando came back and won the game. The rest of the team ought to be ashamed of themselves for the dismal effort. The Orlando bench put up the same amount of points as Delonte West and Zydrunas Ilgauskas (21 points). That was just absolutely pitiful. I had previously stated that he needs more help, a lot more help. He practically played the whole game. In the 4th quarter, the Magic cut into their lead and then LeBron's potty break got cut short; he couldn't get a drink of water because he rushed back into the game.Truth be told, if he was on another team, the Cavs would be a lottery team. If I am the Cleveland front office, I would definitely address getting a 2 or a 3 in the draft. Because if he keeps playing the amount of minutes, he will be burnt out by the time he's 28. My momma says age 30. He would get so sick of basketball that he wouldn't want to look at one. Either way, can LeBron get some help? I mean a lot more help than what he got now. You saw what they did. Talk about rising to the occasion.
GAME 2 !!!!
Tonight is Game 2 in the Western Conference Finals!!! YEA!!!!
I think that the winner will be....Denver and this is why: The Lakers seem to play exceptionally well when their playoff life depends on it. The past series against Houston gives me evidence to believe it. Against the Rockets, the Lakers would win one and then lose one with the except when they won Game 2 & 3. Yeah, Denver gave away Game 1 but they was not playing Denver Basketball. They hardly got any production from their bench and Chauncey Billups was adequate if I'm being nice other than the 3 pointer he hit to pull them within 2. I like the Lake Show, but not to win this series. Nuggets in 6.
