Gotta A Long Way To Go

The Los Angeles Kobes, oops I mean the Los Angeles Lakers, has just swept the denver Nuggets. Allen Iverson made the statement that they've got a long way to go. It's not a long way, Allen. Your team barely plays defense especially not Carmelo Anthony who was not known as a defensive specialist at Syracuse. If one-fourth of the intensity that the Nuggets focuses on offense where placed on defense, then you all wouldn't have a long way to go. You wouldn't be the eighth seed and getting knocked out the playoffs. You could box out to get a rebound, stay in front of your man, and not always make switches so Carmelo could relax on defense. You will and shall be able to win a championship that way. It's hard work. They are half way there with the great offensive firepower on their team. Just play some defense for 48 minutes. Therefore, the Nuggets do not have a long way to go. The next exit for the Nuggets is DEFENSE 222 and they need to get off there instead of trying to merge in the express lane.

Miami is trying to trade Jason Taylor

Bill Parcells is trying to trade DE Jason Taylor for someone's 1st round pick. Jason Taylor is 35 and so is everyone else on the defensive. maybe Parcells is trying to get Vernoin Gholston or Chris Long with the addition of Jake Long. Two for the price of an aging but productive DE. I guess doing " Dancing Wtith The Stars" is not good for your professional career. If jason Taylor was retired, it might have been a good thing. Look at Emmitt Smith.

The Cincinnati Bengals are idiots and the Washington Redskins are too

The washington offered to give their 1st round pick and a conditional pick in the 2009 draft for Chad Johnson and Cincinnati turned it down. The Bengals are idiots and the Redskins are too.

Here is why the Bengals are idiots:
First of, you are able to get rid of someone who does not want to play there and you get a first round pick. You'll have two picks in the first and can at least one on your defense which is sad. Then the conditional pick in the 2009 draft will probably be a 1st rounder and you can select another defensive player. In two years, you can rebuild your defense and be the team sportswriters thought you were going to be 3 years ago. But no, you turn the deal down like the simpletons you are and keep Chad Johnson who will been a distraction as long as he is there in Cincinnati. The Redskins gave you the best deal you will ever see and you rejected it. The Bengals are like the people who go on "Deal or No Deal" who naively think they got the miilion in their case but end up having a penny and take the game all the way to end where two cases left are $1 million and a penny. Then, they leave one penny richer than they came. Hope you are happy with your penny while the Redskins took their $550,000 offer, so to speak.

But the Redskins are not off the hook; they're stupid, too. Here's how:
In the 2007 NFl draft, you had 1 pick in the first day because you traded all your picks away to get players. When the Redskins won the 3 Super Bowls, they drafted well, not traded well. They used the draft to build their team and got depth at critical positions, such as their offensive and defensive line. now, Daniel Snyder wants to outspend everybody and wants to have the most talent on the Redskins. But, what's the point of having talent on a team and you can't win your division? It makes no sense. It's absolutely stupid. Keep your draft picks and use them wisely. Don't be idiots and trade them all aways just because some talented wide reciever wants to leave their team. Now, that is just as dumb as the Bengals, if not, dumber.

The Draft is in two days and there is hardly any anticipation

Well, the NFL Draft is in two days and i am so giddy except for one thing: How did Bill Parcells sign the number one pick on Tuesday? How was that allow to occur? At least Mario Williams was signed on Friday. There's no anticipation on who's going to be the number one pick anymore. I can't call anyone on Saturday and say that Miami was dumb or stupid for drafting whoever they did. The NFL should not allow Bill Parcells to be able sign a player that early; it should have be at least Thursday. Jake Long getting 30 million was not the most important story that day. It was all about the NBA playoffs: Can the Rockets rebound from that Game1 loss or Can Chris Paul repeat his Game 1 spectacular performance. I used to get excited about the draft, but not this year.
